Components of a Boot

What is really a technical high quality mountain boot?

Our definition is quite clear: a technical boot is a boot which has been designed, tested and adopted, and for which unique technical materials have been chosen, in order to give maximum output, efficiency and comfort for the specific outdoor activity for which it will be used. The quality, on the other hand, lies in the small but so important details in semi-handcrafted boot making, details which define the final finish and looks of the boot, its comfort and its durability.

To give you an idea about our way of shoe-making, and to show you what is behind each and every product-picture in our catalogue, we have gathered all the different components of ONE single boot (not a pair!) here below for you to see.

In this particular case, all these materials, together with the combined workmanship of our technicians and craftsmen, have led to the creation our high performance TOP range of mountain boots, able to meet the needs of the most demanding of mountaineers. Characteristic for the TOP boots is the removable bootie, which can be used as a comfortable, warm and waterproof shoe inside the tent or hut during longer rests.

For more detailed descriptions of the features of each kind of material, please consult the links on your left.
