A midsole with a perfect balance of flexibility combined with lateral and longitudinal rigidity, ideal for trekking in mixed terrains of varying difficulties.
A flexible midsole with a good torsion resistance. Used in lighter and more flexible footwear built for outdoor activities with plenty of walking but in general in a not too rocky terrain.
This is our most flexible midsole, and is therefore used in light shoes where the day-to-day comfort is the most important feature, and where the use is limited to travel, lighter hiking and urban use.

The new TOP-line from Bestard Mountain Boots, a totally modified, upgraded and enhanced second generation of this revolutionary boot-concept, is manufactured only with the best materials and is designed to be a reliable and effective tool both for use in normal situations as well as mutliple-days backpacking routes and when up against the most extreme terrains and climatic conditions.
Our patented system of removable liner gives the user the following value-added advantages:
New levels of durably waterproof, thermo-isolation and breathability:
- Thanks to the construction with thick seamless uppers, two layers of water-repellent Cambrelle® and Gore-Tex® membrane, TOP is more durably waterproof and thermo isolating than most other leather boots. In the case of the TOP Alpine PRO, we have added extra isolating power both in the bootie (Gore-Tex Duratherm and isolating foam) and in the exterior boot (Thinsulate)
- As the evacuation of internal moisture doesn't have to pass through the outer-leather in its first stage, the transpiration and inner-comfort is considerably improved compared to conventional boots.
Practical in camp and during longer rests:
- The padded and reinforced inner Gore-Tex®-bootie can be used as waterproof camp-shoes.
- With the liner removed, the external boots dry much quicker.

Easy-running & Quick-lock Lacing System
Easy Running: A sophisticated lacing system, where stainless-steel balls provide friction-less run of the lace and two clinch-rings easily fasten or unfasten it. Thanks to the extremely low friction, the laces run easily and abrasion is reduced to a minimum.In the practice, this system allows the user to tighten or un-tighten the boot with one single pull, eliminating the fastidious need to pull or lacing-up the lace at each d-ring pair. The advantage, especially in cold climates and at high altitudes, is obvious.
The Quick Lock clinch-rings, which lock the lace half-way up, also allows the user to regulate the tightness of the lacing in the leg without changing the tightness over the foot. This boot is made with a fix Poron Performance footbed, which allows to take out the removable footbed and still maintain a comfortable cushioning; this, in combination with the flexible lacing system, allows to adjust the interior volumen of the boot for use with either a thick neoprene sock, or a normal, thinner socks.
